Activities planned:
The summer school examines questions of identity, culture and globalization with a focus on understanding different cultures and diverse populations. Students interact with students from different cultures and reflect on their own cultures. In addition to understanding cultural diversity, students improve their intercultural competencies through communication workshops, self-reflection and empirical research.

Academic writing and presentation skills;
Cultural diversity in the EU;
The role of intercultural sensitivity in well-being;
Gender issues in Europe;
Migration and cultural sensitivity in Europe;
Political cultures and intercultural sensitivity;
Legal foundations of cultural diversity in the EU
The importance, opportunities and good practices of cultural sensitisation in higher education
Intercultural sensitivity in children’s education

Student research teams of 3-4 members per research topic will be formed during the online phase of the summer school. The optional research topics within the field of intercultural sensitivity will be defined by the host university. Students join the respective research groups defined by the project-leading institution based on their individual research interests.
