"For me, the Intercultural Sensitivity Summer School at the University of Pécs was truly unforgettable. I learned far beyond the seminars, as we experienced an authentic intercultural immersion. We met people from different universities who generously shared their cultures and traditions with us, while also showing genuine interest in ours.

I deeply value the professionalism of the faculty, who guided us throughout the research process and provided meaningful feedback on our presentations. The organisation of the school was also outstanding—every detail was carefully prepared with dedication. I would also like to thank my mentors, Viki and Dorina, who accompanied us closely and introduced us to the culture and city of Pécs.

This experience has given me valuable academic and personal learning. I am very grateful to have participated, and I sincerely hope to repeat such an experience in the future."

Attending the Pécs Summer School in 2025 was one of the most inspiring experiences of my academic journey. The program combined excellent lectures from talented professors with a truly international classroom full of diverse perspectives. I not only gained valuable insights into leadership but also learned from my fellow participants in ways that will stay with me for years to come.

Beyond the classroom, the social programs offered unforgettable moments — from cultural activities to the incredible dragon boat race. Thanks to the Summer School, I discovered the charm of Pécs, made wonderful new friends, and returned home with both stronger leadership skills and beautiful memories.

Being a mentor at the Intercultural Sensitivity Summer School was a truly fantastic experience for me. I got to know some really amazing people from different countries, and during their stay here at Pécs, we had many interesting conversations. We realised that even though we have very different cultures, we are similar in so many ways. I genuinely recommend it for everyone to participate in a program like this, since it adds a lot to your years in university. Also, it is a wonderful feeling to be a part of such an international community, and one of my favourite memories from this summer is the ones I experienced with this group.

Taking part in the Pécs Summer School was truly an unforgettable experience. From the very first day, I felt warmly welcomed and part of a vibrant, international community. The academic program was both inspiring and enriching, offering me the opportunity to deepen my knowledge while engaging in meaningful discussions with students and lecturers from all around the world.

Beyond the classes, what made this experience so special were the people I met and the moments we shared. I enjoyed every cultural activity, every excursion, and every informal conversation that turned into long-lasting friendships. I had so much fun while also learning about new perspectives, cultures, and ideas.

Looking back, I can honestly say that Pécs Summer School has been one of the highlights of my academic journey. I am deeply grateful for everything I experienced, and I would love to repeat it in the future. I carry with me not only knowledge, but also wonderful memories and friendships that will last a lifetime.

Studying abroad in Pécs, Hungary, was an unforgettable experience. I met people from all corners of the world, even some from my own state and through them, I learned so much about history, culture, and friendship that will last a lifetime. Pécs itself is such a beautiful little town, full of delicious food, fun things to do, and an energy that never gets old. Our mentors were incredible, making every night out fun while balancing it with early morning classes that brought us together as a group. The instructors radiated passion for what they teach, and it’s clear how much they care about our learning and growth, a true reflection of the university’s values.

Being part of a stunning experience was not what I had planned for my summer, but deciding to participate truly changed everything. I am so glad to have had the idea to send my request to be an actor for the Intercultural Sensitivity Summer School at the University of Pécs. It was my first time being part of such a great experience, and I think that the University of Cagliari is making big steps for the well-being of the student community in Sardinia.

In my opinion, these summer schools have to be shared throughout the world, because having the opportunity to meet other people, to face incredible challenges, can make a huge difference in our lives and future. In addition, meeting tons of people, will help us to go out of our green line, and explore other cultures, thoughts and souls.

In conclusion, I must thank the University of Cagliari and the University of Pécs for everything they have done for us, the EDUC alliance, and finally, all the people I have met during this fabulous week.

Attending Pécs Summer School was an incredible experience that expanded my knowledge and sharpened my skills in European studies and leadership skills . The best part was making new friends from all over the globe, which made the experience even more enriching. I left the program feeling inspired and more confident in my abilities, with a network of amazing peers that I continue to stay in touch with. I highly recommend this summer school to anyone looking to deepen their expertise and grow personally and professionally.

The European Studies Summer School 2023 was a great professional experience for me, as the program conducted with the participation of outstanding professors was well-organized by the Intenational Centre of the University of Pécs.

Summer schools provide an exciting intercultural learning opportunity not only for the students, but also for us, instructors and organizers. For example, the participants of the European Studies Summer School 2023 came from many countries around the world, such as the USA, Australia and India.

The students' contributions to the classes, the conversations with them, as well as the excellent team of organizers and professors all inspire me to take part in the summer schools of the University of Pécs again and again with great enthusiasm, which I enjoy not only from a professional point of view, but also personally.

Law and Technology Summer School in Pécs made me float on air! I was on cloud nine when I found out that I was fortunate to study there for two weeks and had an opportunity to consolidate my knowledge about digital and legal literacy. There were ideal days – enough studying and enough fun. For instance, we were listening to an incredibly interesting lecture about cryptocurrencies in the morning, then explored the city with friends. Myriad places to go – museums, cathedrals, flea markets, hills, cafes, ruin bars, vintage bookshops, lakes, etc. Hungarian culture, as far as history and language, completely enchanted me. I cherish the abiding memories of our everyday adventures there with my new friends. I am so eager to come back to this town one day. It's safe to say that Pécs made my dreams come true!

My time in Pécs was the absolute highlight of my summer. In these two weeks I got to visit places that gave me entirely new historical and societal perspectives, I attended interesting lectures at the University that gave me insight into different points of view that were previously unknown to me, and I got to meet great people that made the stay incredibly fun. This was all made better by the hosts and student assistants who went out of their way to make sure that we wouldn’t miss anything. Pécs is a beautiful, living city and a great place to be in during the summer!

Serving as a debate instructor at the Pecs Summer School was a great experience. The exceptionally diverse and active group of students—from 10 different countries—enriched each other's learning and debating experience with their unique perspectives. The course's strong emphasis on practice and experiential learning allowed the students to achieve significant growth in a short time frame, and seeing their public speaking and argumentation skills improve in a matter of days was rewarding to witness.

Summer school in Pècs was a unique experience that clearly stands out from other international trips. The city completely captured me, thanks to the immersion in its history and the people, who welcomed us hospitably! Also, speaking about the acquired knowledge, I use it to this day by giving examples regarding EU at various debates, striking the interlocutors with my rich arguments :)

Being a mentor was a unique experience. I was working with international students in the International Student Network previously, but being a mentor felt special. With our small group of mentees and my mentor partners it even felt like we were a family. It was nice to see the curiosity of the group and share our knowledge of local things with them, but to me the most amazing experience was the trust and love we got from our mentees.

Szia! I am Máté Móritz, born and raised in our beautiful city, Pécs! One of my favorite things about the university is the multicultural student life. Therefore I love trying out new ways of interacting with international students, like being a mentor at our summer school programs. Back in 2022 when I started I had no idea this experience can lead to looking at my hometown with a new perspective, all-night long conversations in the main square and lasting friendships. I have one thing to say: you better come to Pécs! <3

A summer university is a bit of a holiday, a bit of work and a lot of surprises. With our CEEPUS network, we have organised several summer universities, including online during the covid, and last year we tried the Erasmus BIP version. When, 9 months later, a student chases after you in the pedestrian street of Regensburg, saying how nice it is to see you and how much he enjoyed the summer university, you feel that all the work you put in was worth it.

Upon my initial enrollment in a summer university program as a student, I came to recognize the significance of participating in foreign, short-term academic experiences. This chance presents a significant advantage in terms of engaging in discussions on specific subjects with individuals from many countries and backgrounds. Their contributions have the potential to enhance my understanding and, notably, facilitate the resolution of conflicts, confrontations, and misunderstandings among nations and states.

As a lecturer, my objective at each of these events is to facilitate participants' comprehension of the diversity of perspectives available and the numerous connections, professional collaborations, and friendships that may be forged in the pursuit of understanding reality.
